Going back home might feel less stressful than leaving for your Erasmus exchange. Yet, there are some practical aspects such as logistics to take care of and probably some administrative requirements waiting for you. Your home university reached out to you at the beginning of your Erasmus to communicate what documents you shall transmit. If they did not at that stage, they will towards the end of the exchange. However, we want to tell you what might not be written there 🙂

Small steps you can take
  • Keep the connection with your host institution! Save the emails, and the business cards of the IRO’s officers.
  • Go through the past months, all the ups and downs, all the key moments, and even the insignificant events. Reflect on what you have learned and write it down!
  • You might have noticed that the Erasmus comes with a great transformative power! You will never be the same! What if you decide to conclude this great experience by travelling sustainably back home? The new Erasmus+ programme guide foreseen additional funding if you travel green. Check the requirements with your Higher Education Institution and consider an Interrail Pass for Erasmus+. Do you need some help in planning your journey? Consult the Higher Education Student's Handbook to travel green. The trip will be even more fun if you involve your friends!
